West Point Police searching for 3 home invasion/robbery suspects | News
WEST POINT, GA (WTVM)- Officers of the West Point Police Department responded to the
West Point Housing Authority in reference to an armed robbery on Thursday, August
22 at approximately 2:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers met with the victim Willie Fears. He
stated a suspect, whom he recognized, came to his residence and knocked on the
Fears said he opened the door and observed "Quez" and two
other black males. The males, wearing white rags over the tops of their heads, entered
his apartment uninvited.
Fears described them as young black males, possibly in their
late teens or early twenties, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with slender builds.
Fears stated when he saw "Quez" with the two other males; he became suspicious
of their intent.
He stated he immediately ran out the front door of his
apartment and into the street, crossing over Avenue K. Fears added he tripped
and fell as he ran into a small field between the 1300 block apartments on
Fears said while he was on the ground, he felt the suspect's
hands going through his pant pockets. The suspects took his money and then fled
the location on foot.
